The Position

 

This Senior Business Development Manager position is a new business sales role with an exciting difference. You will specialise in developing new reseller & referral channel partners. While the reseller sales channel speaks for itself, you will be also be targeting any type of business association, ISV or business group which have their own large SME client / member base, which can then be accessed to create high quality, exclusive leads for this organisations field-based SME BDM team. Think accessing 100’s of leads per referral partner rather than just a handful and winning 4-6 new partners a quarter, you’ll then get a feel for the level of importance this role has when helping to ensure a high-performing SME BDM team.

 

Experience Required

 

As industry / product knowledge is not a must, more importance is placed on the following two requirements. Firstly, a proven track record in new business development with the ability to back up stated performance. Secondly, you will have extensive experience winning large regional or national level type accounts.

There is no standard roll-out of a new reseller / referral partner with each program being unique, so you will have a history of successfully handling complex and at times, long sales cycles upwards of 6-9 months involving multiple decision makers.

 

On Offer for the Successful Applicant

 

Indications for base salary are circa £45k-£55k, with the commission structure being exceptional (circa £30k), designed to encourage and reward performance, this is also uncapped, a car allowance of £6k is provided.
